Coach Fowler has been coaching distance runners for over 30 years. However, until coming to Adams Central it has been in the track arena. This in her 13th year as head cross country coach at Adams Central. During these years the Boys team has qualified for state 3 times and the Girls team has qualified for state 11 times. The highest finishing team came last year when the girls team tied for 2nd place but finished 3rd via the tie breaker. She is also the head girls track coach.
As a 1982 Sandy Creek grad, she went on to run track/xc at Doane, where she graduated with BAs in Math and Art Education in 1986. She has taught/coached at Wilber-Clatonia, Waverly, Stanton, Orchard, Silver Lake before landing at her current position.
Coach Fowler is married to Darran who is the publisher of the Hastings Tribune. She has three children - Jami Stortenbecker, who is a teacher/coach at Gothenburg, Jake, who is Patience Services Coordinator at Alivations Health Clinic in Lincoln, and Jacki, who is a junior at UNL.
